Shiriki Cavitt Jones currently serves as corporate counsel for Equifax Inc. focusing on drafting and negotiating complex business-to-business commercial and third-party contracts. She has been adjunct professor at Emory University School of Law since 2013, teaching the Corporate Externship Class to second- and third-year students. Jones has also served as a term law clerk for The Honorable Linda T. Walker, federal magistrate judge for the northern district of Georgia, Atlanta division. Before clerking, Jones was counsel for Oldcastle, Inc., where her primary focus was on contractual and labor and employment issues. Her extended practice covered all of the areas that the business encountered, such as commercial disputes, litigation management, MSHA and OSHA matters, compliance, and antitrust issues. Prior to working at Oldcastle, Jones was an associate at Troutman Sanders LLP in the Complex Litigation Practice Group, where her focus was on business litigation and product liability matters. Jones obtained her bachelor of arts in English (cum laude) in 2001 from Dartmouth College and her doctorate in jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 2004.
