Allison Elmore Thornton is a Visiting Instructor in the Legal Writing, Research, and Advocacy Program (LWRAP). Thornton holds a bachelor’s degree from Duke University (cum laude in Public Policy Studies) and a JD from the University of Georgia School of Law (magna cum laude). During law school, she served on the editorial board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law and on the Moot Court Board, and she was inducted into The Order of the Coif and The Order of the Barristers. Thornton then served as a law clerk for the Honorable Julie E. Carnes in the Northern District of Georgia. She also practiced employment law in the Atlanta headquarters of Fisher & Phillips LLP.
