Biography

Allison Elmore Thornton is adjunct professor in the Juris Master program. Thornton holds a bachelor’s degree from Duke University (cum laude in public policy studies) and a JD from the University of Georgia School of Law (magna cum laude). During law school, she served on the editorial board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law and on the Moot Court Board, and she was inducted into The Order of the Coif and The Order of the Barristers. Thornton served as a law clerk for the Honorable Julie E. Carnes in the Northern District of Georgia and then practiced employment law in the Atlanta headquarters of Fisher & Phillips LLP. Currently, Thornton is also of counsel to the Amicus Committee of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
