VIEW SCHEDULE

Please Note: schedule and room assignments are subject to change.

Proctored exams at Emory Law are administered using the Electronic Bluebook (EBB) system, either through the downloaded software or web upload portal. Students are responsible for downloading the software and ensuring everything is in working order BEFORE arriving to take an exam.

Accessing EBB Web Portal

In your browser go to https://exams.law.emory.edu

  • Username: this is your student NetID.
  • Password: this is your login password for OPUS.
  • Click the “Remember Me” box
  • Click “sign in”

* If you do not know your netID, go to OPUS >Profile tile>Email and Phone Numbers (ID number is in top left corner)

Accessing EBB Software Application

Download the EBB Software via the exams website https://exams.law.emory.edu. Use your NetID to log in to the software. Your password is the same as the one used for Canvas, OPUS, etc.

You MUST download a new copy of the EBB software BEFORE coming to the exam. If your version does not match the one found in the EBB Student Web Portal, your version is out of date. No additional time will be given to students who have not properly set up the exam software before coming to an exam. Practice exams will be made available at least one month before the start of the exam period. We STRONGLY encourage all students to complete a practice exam before the exam period begins.

EBB Training Guide: Be sure to review the training guide well before the start of exams. By taking the time to do that now, you will be better prepared to take your exams and can avoid possible issues during an exam. This document includes information on how to install EBB software, how to access and use the EBB Student Web Portal, important FAQs, and a glossary of terms.

Reminders

Conflicts/Make-Up Exams: There are no designated make-up days. Students with conflicts or other scheduling needs will take the exam during the next available exam slot. Only exams identified as a conflict in accordance with the conflict policy found in the Student Bulletin will be rescheduled. The Registrar’s Office will be in touch with those students in the two weeks prior to the exam period.

Religious Holidays: If exam schedules conflict with a religious holiday, students should email lawregistrar@emory.edu to request adjustment to their exam schedules.

Reporting an Illness/Emergency

If you are ill enough on the day of an exam that you cannot take an exam or you need medical assistance, get medical attention and email lawregistrar@emory.edu before the scheduled exam(s) as soon as you are able. You will be required to provide documentation from a treatment provider to reschedule your exam.

If you are otherwise unable to complete your exams within the scheduled time frame for a health-related reason, email lawregistrar@emory.edu to have your situation reviewed. Once you have started an exam, you must complete it or turn in the work you have done as your final submission.

Exams that are self-scheduled do not create conflicts; therefore, only exams that have been rescheduled due to illness, or identified as a same-day conflict by the registrar's office, will be rescheduled during the exam period.

IT/Technical Assistance

For EXAM related technical (EBB) questions/issues send an email to lawregistrar@emory.edu. Do not send exam emails to individuals in the registrar's office.

The Registrar’s Office can provide limited assistance for students who are not taking their exam in the Law School building. Exam support will be available Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Remember to SAVE your work on a regular basis if using Word to complete your essay answer(s) in any self-scheduled exams submitted through the web portal, as your answers are created outside of the EBB software.

Professional Conduct Code Issues

Confidentiality of Exam Contents: Intentionally obtaining or giving information about the content of an examination (even seemingly informal comments such as “that was harder than I ever imagined” or “no surprises there”) may constitute the provision of unauthorized assistance and violate the Professional Conduct Code. This includes posts on Facebook or other social media.

For exams that use the take home format, exams will be unblocked: However, your individual professors may choose to limit what you can use for the exam, and you will be bound by the Professional Conduct Code to follow their specific instructions and restrictions.

Ending Exams On Time: Failure to submit each exam by the established time limit constitutes a violation of the Professional Conduct Code, if you have not been excused by the Registrar’s office. Professors have the right to award a failing grade in such an instance, apart from any Conduct Code process.
