Main content

Emory University School of Law's EmoryLaw@Work program seeks to strengthen relationships with our alumni by connecting with them through workplaces and law firms. We believe that partnerships with participating law firms help the law school remain relevant for alumni, keep pace with economic trends, and stay abreast of contemporary legal practice.

To further this mission, EmoryLaw@Work strives to

  • Connect Emory Law with participating companies to raise funds for the Law School Fund for Excellence and other Law school scholarships through the EmoryLaw@Work challenge;
  • Keep you informed of developments at Emory Law through events and regular communication and
  • Provide legal education through Breakfast and Business Card events around town.

EmoryLaw@Work Campaign

Dear Fellow Alumni,

As a proud graduate of both Emory College, and the School of Law, I’m so pleased to serve as this year’s EmoryLaw@Work chair.  I highly encourage you to support the mission of the law school by participating in the EmoryLaw@Work challenge this year.

I’ve enjoyed participating in this program– not only because it allows me to connect with colleagues and fellow alums, but also because I understand the critical impact our gifts can make to Emory’s law students.

We were all beneficiaries of the gifts that alumni before us made, and we understand the importance of paying that forward. Alumni giving is always important, but this year perhaps more than ever.

Our gifts – and the gifts we encourage our colleagues to make – support students in a myriad of ways, including:

  • Scholarships
  • Academic programs and initiatives
  • Faculty support and research
  • Student organizations and activities
  • Professional development and career services
  • Public interest programs

Giving will also support Dean Bobinski’s efforts to continue and grow the law school’s tradition of excellence. Please consider joining the 2023 EmoryLaw@Work challenge to increase your firm’s impact on Emory Law.

Best wishes, good luck, and stay safe.

Program Details

Alumni volunteers serve as firm/company captains for each of the participating companies contacting their colleagues to offer the opportunity to support this annual giving campaign.  We encourage attorneys to consider giving at least the equivalent of one billable hour to the Law School Fund for Excellence.

Firms are divided into groups based on the number of Emory Law alumni at that firm.

EmoryLaw@Work challenge group category:

  • Small - Organizations with 10 or less law graduates
  • Medium - Organizations with 11 - 24 law graduates
  • Large - Organizations with 25 or more law graduates

This year’s challenge kicks off March 20, 2023 and concludes on April 30, 2023.

All gifts made during this period will count towards your company’s participation rate. At the end of the challenge, firms in each group are recognized for achieving the highest percentage of alumni participation, as well as, for largest average gift. Challenge results will be announced at the Alumni Awards ceremony during Emory Law Alumni Weekend.
