On December 11, 2025, The Barton Child Law and Policy Center celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special, commemorative program. It was an evening of celebration, reflection, and gratitude—recognizing the people and partnerships that have shaped the Barton Center’s work over the past 25 years and continue to guide its mission forward.

Classroom innovation

To meet the developing needs of practicing attorneys today, law schools curriculum committes must continually consider their approaches to teaching law. That work is reflected in the develoment of new programming being taught within the classrooms of Gambrell Hall.

Reaching new heights

Richard Conviser — distinguished legal educator and founder of BARBRI, the nation’s largest bar review company — has made a gift of $2 million to Emory Law specifically to enhance academic excellence initiatives.

Rethinking capital punishment

Each year, the Emory Public Interest Committee (EPIC) brings together students, alumni, and community members for a day-long conference on a public interest-related topic. On October 4, the conference explored the impact that the death penalty has had, and continues to have, on individuals in the US.
