Juvenile Defender Clinic court case featured in Daily Report

A DeKalb County judge found in favor of a client represented by the Juvenile Defender Clinic, affiliated with Emory Law's Barton Child Law and Policy Center. Two Emory Law students worked on the case with Clinic director Randee Waldman: A'Nia Rasheed 15L and Dana Schulman 15L.

In its feature story, the Daily Report noted that "the pretrial detention of two robbery suspects by the county's Juvenile Court was illegal because authorities didn't give a specific reason for overriding risk assessments that showed the two weren't high risks for committing more alleged crimes."
