Emory Law Mock Trial team advances to final round in Miami

Adeash Lakraj 15L, Ahmad El-Gendi 15L, Meghan McNulty 16L, and Jill Hartsfield 16L, coached by Tony Thomas, Lead Counsel for Georgia Gwinnett College; Jerry Mason, DeKalb County Assistant District Attorney; and Noah Schechtman, DeKalb County Assistant District Attorney competed at the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law regional Trial Advocacy Competition in Miami.

14 law schools from around the region competed at the Lawson E. Thomas Courthouse Center in Miami, Florida. Emory advanced past the preliminary and semifinal rounds making it to the final two. Emory faced the University of Florida School of Law in the final round.

The American Bar Association's Section of Labor and Employment Law established the LEL Trial Advocacy Competition to introduce law students to the challenges and rewards of employment and labor litigation. More information »
