Emory Lawyers recognized for being 'super' at what they do

Emory Lawyer names were a considerable portion of the attorneys listed in the recently released 2017 Super Lawyers list.  Emory Lawyers comprised 532 over the overall honorees. Moreover, 272 alumni were selected to the Georgia Super Lawyers list, giving Emory Law the second highest percentage of Super Lawyers in Georgia – a list which includes graduates from law schools around the country.

In the magazine’s recent issue, seven top attorneys and judges were interviewed for a cover story on the oral history the attorneys who came along after John Lewis and Diane Nash. Those seven include three Emory Law alumni: Leah Ward Sears 80L, Thelma Wyatt Cummings Moore 71L, and Clarence Cooper 67L.

The issue also includes features on alumni Zahra Karinshak 97L and Marvin Solomiany 98L.

The annual Super Lawyers list is compiled by Super Lawyers magazine, which evaluates lawyers across the country, measuring them each “against 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.”
