Biography

Teresa Hoyt is an assistant United States attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the northern district of Georgia, assigned to the Economic Crime section. In this position, she has prosecuted federal “white collar” crimes including tax fraud, health care fraud, and government document and benefits fraud. She previously worked in the Major Crimes section, where she prosecuted firearms violations, robberies, immigration crimes, and child exploitation offenses. Hoyt has served as a guest instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia, and at the National Advocacy Center in Columbia, South Carolina. She has been an attorney with the Department of Justice since 2001.
