Biography
Chris Katrakis teaches Introduction to Legal Analysis, Research, and Communication (ILARC) and Introduction to Legal Advocacy (ILA). He also coaches the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team, on which he participated as an Emory Law student, winning Best Respondent Team and Eighth Best Oralist in the world.
Professor Katrakis has worked as an educator for over a decade and is passionate about legal writing and oral advocacy. Before returning to Emory Law as a professor, he served as a staff attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
He graduated with high honors from Emory Law where he served as the Emory Moot Court Society Director of Standards and led an amicus brief team for the Emory Law School Supreme Court Advocacy Program. He holds a Liberal Arts B.A. as a graduate of the “Great Books” program at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
