Conference on the Teaching of Transactional Law and Skills

News Flash:  Our Seventh Biennial Conference will be held online on June 4, 2021.

We are pleased to announce that we have re-scheduled and re-tooled Emory Law’s Seventh Biennial Conference on the Teaching of Transactional Law and Skills, which will take place online on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. EST to 6:00 p.m. EST. Our new theme is Emerging from the Crisis: The Future of Transactional Law and Skills Education.

Please begin crafting your proposals for Try-This sessions and panel presentations. Plan to participate in the Vision Workshop – a small group discussion culminating in the larger group’s vision for the future of transactional law and skills education.

Finally, plan to attend the virtual cocktail party at day’s end and learn who has won the Tina L. Stark Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Transactional Law and Skills.

The current Call for Proposals can be found here. Watch this space for updates, including registration and proposal links.

We are now accepting nominations for the Tina L. Stark Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Transactional Law and Skills. Information on the nomination process can be found here.

Conference Registration

Because the Conference is being held in a virtual setting, we are able to charge a much smaller registration fee than for past conferences. While we will miss sharing meals and informal conversations with you, we hope to make your virtual participation easy, enriching, and enjoyable. And we will enlist some technical help to make that possible.

The registration fee is $50 per person. Both attendees and presenters must register and pay this fee. Registration is now open for the Conference here. If you encounter any technical difficulties in submitting your proposal or in registering online, please contact Kelli Pittman, Program Coordinator, at kelli.pittman@emory.edu or 404.727.3382.
