Biography

George is a graduate of Emory University’s College and Law School. He practices in the firm of Fox+Mattson, PC, in both Sandy Springs and at Big Canoe. He also teaches in Emory Law School’s Center for Transactional Law and Practice.

George writes frequently on a variety of legal topics for non-lawyers, and he speaks to groups of all sizes, most recently to the Stewart Ministry at Big Canoe Chapel and at the Shallowford Presbyterian Church. He also has addressed bankers, financial planners, and other audiences on legal issues. He has explained business entities to a class in Georgia Tech and he has presented continuing legal education presentations for the State Bar.

George has also been the contributor of the Georgia pages for all the editions of the "Limited Liability Company Handbook", published by Thomson Reuters. He has had numerous articles published in the Wills, Trusts & Estates Prof Blog, a part of the Law Professor Blogs Network. His “Big Canoe Law School” columns have won two awards from the Georgia Press Association.

George and his wife, Michele, divide their time between Big Canoe and Dunwoody. They have four children and seven+ grandchildren. In his spare time, he directs musicals.
