Biography

Professor Marbutt is a partner at Kent & Risley, a small intellectual property boutique firm, where she handles all types of intellectual property disputes. She has litigated in courts throughout the United States, primarily focusing on patent litigation and counseling. Marbutt graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Arizona and received her JD from Emory University School of Law, where she served as the Executive Managing Editor of the Emory International Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Professor Marbutt taught high school biology in Rocky Mount, NC as part of Teach for America.

Marbutt lives in Cobb County, with her husband -- also an Emory Law alum -- with their three children.
