Biography

Robert (“Bob”) Marcovitch is a former, longtime appellate practitioner, initially as a federal prosecutor and later as a civil litigator. Now, he is a Dean’s Professor and the Director of the Professionalism Program at Emory University School of Law, where he teaches a variety of subject matters, including torts, advanced torts, administrative law, complex litigation, evidence, and legal profession.

Although he no longer practices law, Marcovitch still has some time to consult on appellate matters, focusing on legal issues applicable to medical malpractice defense in Georgia. This is a subject matter on which he worked in both the trial and appellate courts of Georgia during the latter part of his career.

He is admitted to practice in, among others, all courts of the State of Georgia, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
