We note with sadness the passing of Randolph W. Thrower 34C 36L 84H on March 8. He was 100 years old. Thrower served as an Emory Trustee for many years, and the annual Thrower Symposium was established in his honor in 1987. In 1993, the American Bar Association presented him with its highest award, the ABA Medal. We have benefited greatly from his many contributions to the profession and to this institution.

A service will be held at Northside United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 15, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception.

His recent passing was noted in both the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Daily Report, (subscription required) and by other news sources.
