University Registrar

Emory Law’s Office of the Registrar works closely with the University Registrar to provide students, faculty and staff with processes, policies, and tools to manage student records, student registration and enrollment, faculty grading, and required legal documentation.

Students must request their official transcript through the University Registrar. The Registrar of the law school does not have the ability to print or send transcripts on behalf of a student.

Degree Application

All schools at Emory University participate in online degree application submissions. Students may apply to graduate online through their OPUS account. Online degree applications will be available in OPUS one month prior to the deadline (see application deadlines below).

ATTENTION DUAL DEGREE STUDENTS ONLY: You must submit a degree application to both schools. You will apply online, in OPUS, for the degree of the school in which you are currently enrolled.  A paper degree application should be completed and submitted to the other school. Online and/or paper degree applications are due to both schools by the application deadline.

Be sure to check the degree information display carefully as you apply to ensure your diploma will be ordered correctly. Double-check the following:

  • Is your name spelled correctly in OPUS?
  • Are you applying for the degree you think you are?
  • Is your major listed correctly?

If anything about your degree information does not agree with your degree intention, contact the law registrar immediately prior to applying to graduate.

Please know eligibility to apply for graduation does not necessarily mean that you have met all graduation requirements for your degree program. Be sure to confirm your degree requirements based on your program and school.

Diplomas

Graduating students do not receive their diploma at the graduation exercise. Diplomas are sent to students approximately 4-6 weeks after degrees are conferred by the University. If students wish to track their diploma or order a replacement after the initial delivery window, they can contact the University Registrar directly.
