American Constitution Society

Emory Law's ACS chapter fosters a new generation of progressive leadership in the law. Each year, Emory Law ACS hosts multiple events with renowned advocates, scholars, judges, and lawyer chapters to educate members about the critical issues facing our country. The chapter also prioritizes student engagement with progressive causes and ideals through response events, lectures, and collaborative events with other law student organizations. President: Alyssa Rogowski

Association of International Law Students

AILS provides various support for all international law students at Emory Law. AILS serves international students' career needs and share international students' concerns. AILS helps build connections among students and acts as a liaison between international students and the school administration. President: Ha Khuong

Black Law Student Association

The purpose of Emory BLSA is to provide a support system for Black law students in educational, financial and social settings; articulate and promote the professional needs and goals of Black law students; foster and encourage professional competence; focus upon the relationship of the Black law student and the Black attorney to the American legal structure; instill in the Black attorney and law student a greater awareness and commitment to the needs of the Black community; and influence the legal community to bring about meaningful change to meet the needs of the Black community. President: Annia Rochester

Child, Family, and Elder Law Society

As a practice society at Emory Law, we have several events throughout the year to allow students to learn what it's like to be a family, child or elder law attorney. These include panels by prominent attorneys in Atlanta and a brownbag lunch. President: Caleesha Body

Christian Legal Society

The Christian Legal Society strives to serve as a moral support group for the Emory Law School. It offers law students a place to distance themselves from the pressures of a legal education. It offers support and encouragement for students who become discouraged while offering a nonlegal avenue for students to voice their concerns and ideas. Students gain advice on how to live according to Scripture even in law school and the legal profession. Advice is also given regarding the day-to-day life in the law school, including advice on classes, professors, exams, and jobs. The Christian Legal Society is open to all law school students and welcomes members of other religious groups. President: Rachel Kennedy

Civil Rights Society

The Civil Rights Law Society promotes civil rights law dialogue, practice, policy, and scholarship at Emory University School of Law. Our purpose is to create opportunities for students interested in civil rights law to interact with faculty, practitioners, judges, and community organizations in the field. The Civil Rights Law Society will organize and present programming related to careers in civil rights law, and inform students of networking and career development opportunities. President: Renuka Srivastava

Emory Banking and Financial Institutions Law Society

The Emory Banking and Financial Institutions Law Society engages students interested in finance, financial legal services, investment science, and banking. They aim to teach students about legal opportunities within the banking and finance industry by connecting them with local industry professionals through panel events, site visits, and other networking opportunities. They advise students on navigating law school while cultivating their interest in finance and banking through discussions about classes, internships, jobs, and extracurricular opportunities President: Taylor Stein

Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal

Published since 1984 and the only student-run bankruptcy journal in the United States, the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal publishes semi-annually and hosts a symposium in the spring. This widely-read print and online journal provides a forum for research, debate, and information for practitioners, scholars and the public. Editor-in-Chief: Erich Ritter

Emory Corporate and Business Law Society

Emory Corporate and Business Law Society is a student-managed practice society focusing on corporate and business-related legal practices. Emory Entertainment Alliance

Emory Entertainment Alliance is an organization purposed in enhancing the quality of graduate student/faculty life at Emory University through music. Our mission is threefold: (1) To facilitate meaningful connections among like minded musicians and those interested in the music industry; (2) Organize events for student/faculty musicians to participate in collaborative music projects; (3) Enrich the culture and atmosphere of Emory University by providing music entertainment on campus, and off-campus, proudly representing Emory Law in the community.

Emory Environmental Law Society

Emory Environmental Law and Conservation Society works to promote awareness of environmental concerns, issues, and problems within the legal community; to bridge the communication and information gaps between the scientific and political and legal communities; and to enhance the law school experience for students interested in environmental issues confronting Georgia, the United States, and the world. Emory Intellectual Property Society

The Intellectual Property (IP) Society educates students about the various opportunities available in the area of intellectual property law. The IP Society holds a number of events throughout the school year and connects students with intellectual property practitioners. President: Amoy Ellis

Emory International Arbitration Society

Emory International Arbitration Society (EIAS) serves to promote the study of international arbitration on campus and to provide networking opportunities for its members with international arbitration practitioners. EIAS strives to offer a forum for members to learn about and discuss emerging topics in international arbitration. President: Naomi-Beth McCall

Emory Law School Supreme Court Advocacy Program

The Emory Law School Supreme Court Advocacy Program (ELSSCAP) is the only student-run Supreme Court litigation program in the United States, producing persuasive petitions for certiorari and amicus briefs in a broad range of practice areas, including administrative law, bankruptcy law, constitutional law, criminal law, and tort law. Students work under the guidance of experienced litigators as they handle all aspects of ELSSCAP's work, giving them a unique opportunity to choose cases, write briefs, and engage in significant issues that merit being heard by the US Supreme Court. ELSSCAP gives students the opportunity to work on briefs for cases that have a significant impact on the American legal landscape. Students coordinate directly with clients, professors, co-counsel, etc. to ensure the briefs are of the highest quality. President: Sam Leff

Emory Public Interest Committee

EPIC is a student and Advisory Board based organization. We host volunteer events during the semester at local homeless shelters and group homes and host on campus clothing drives. We also coordinate panels with local public interest attorneys to discuss public interest careers. Finally, we fundraise for EPIC Grants, to be provided to EPIC members who qualify and have a full time, unpaid summer internship in a public interest related field/office. President: Dru Selden

Federalist Society

The Federalist Society is a collection of libertarians and conservatives who are interested in the current state of the legal system as well as the philosophies and ideologies that shape it. Members of the Federalist Society highly value both the freedoms guaranteed by, and the structure of, the Constitution. The Society's core principles are (1) that the state exists to preserve freedom, (2) that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution, and (3) that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be. The Society seeks both to promote an awareness of these principles and to further their application in the legal system. President: Joseph Pinto

Health Law Society

The Health Law Society was created to inform and enrich Emory Law students' understanding of the possibilities and opportunities for a career in health care law. Co-presidents: Eliza Del Carmen and Kendall Schutzer

Immigration Law Practice Society

Immigration Law Practice Society promotes immigration law dialogue, practice, policy, and scholarship at Emory Law School. Our purpose is to create opportunities for students interested in immigration law to interact with faculty, practitioners, judges, and community organizations in the field. The Immigration Law Society organizes and presents programming related to careers in immigration law and inform students of networking and career development opportunities. President: Diana Howell

Labor and Employment Law Society

Labor and Employment Law Society provide sEmory Law students with useful information and exposure to Labor Law and Employment Law. The Labor and Employment Law Society is a practice society, and thus its primary goal is help students understand what it is like to practice in these areas of the law. The Labor and Employment Law Society may host attorney panels for students, brown bag informational lunches, recess during the school year, and networking events, and other events with the express purpose of educating Emory Law students about employment and labor law. Law School Democrats

Emory Law School Democrats (ELSD) is an active political group that seeks to connect the Emory Law community with the Democratic Party. We are an affiliate of both the College Democrats of America and Young Democrats of America. We volunteer on political races, lobby for progressive issues, and bring guest speakers to discuss important issues and provide trainings. President: Nolan Russell

Legal Association for Women Students

Legal Association for Women Students (LAWS) encourages increased awareness and discussion of legal issues concerning women and challenges facing women in the law. LAWS invites judges, politicians, lawyers, and professors to speak on a broad range of topics such as health law, domestic violence, sexual harassment, employment discrimination, feminist legal theory, and the particular challenges facing women in the legal marketplace. Other activities include a mentoring program, student-led live and silent auction, and our annual conference. LAWS also sponsors an annual charity auction to fund a grant for women’s interest work each summer. President: Kelly Nguyen

LLM Society

Emory LLM Society is the organization that aims at LLM students to promote academic performance, assist career development and strengthen social bonds. We reflects the nobility credential and worldwide relationships through LLM students and alumni. President: Maria Alejandra Sarmiento Aymar

Middle Eastern Law Students Association

The Middle Eastern Law Student Association (MELSA) serves to promote a stronger community within the law school, build connection between law school students and the greater Atlanta community, and enhance the academic environment within Emory through critical discussions on the legal, political, social and cultural realities of the peoples of the Middle East. OUTLaw

OUTLaw is Emory Law's LGBT student organization that prides itself on community. Although the group is focused on queer fellowship, allies are welcome to join! OUTLaw strives to provide members the chance to socialize, network, and learn about LGBT legal issues through various academic and social events. To ensure students succeed in school and in the legal field, OUTLaw provides mentorship programs with 2Ls, 3Ls, and practicing LGBT attorneys in the Atlanta area. President: Aaren Lasky

Sports and Entertainment Law Society

The mission of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society is to connect the Emory Law community with the Sports and Entertainment legal and non-legal community, foster career opportunities, and build relationships amongst individuals who share similar professional interests. SELS hosts speakers, facilitates networking events, and informs students about internship and job opportunities in the field. President: Shelly Kurland

Street Law

Street Law connects Emory Law students with high school students at nearby public schools. Law students, along with attorneys from King & Spalding and The Coca-Cola Company, teach lessons in classrooms related to different areas of the law and offer advice on law school, college, and careers to students. President: Lucy Lansing

Student Bar Association

The Student Bar Association is the student government of the law school. SBA allocates student activity fee money to chartered law school organizations, works to build relations with other schools and organizations on campus, and is the primary source of the law school's social activities. SBA also takes on and helps fund additional projects arising throughout the year. SBA serves as the primary connection between law students, faculty, and the administration. Members serve on faculty committees (i.e. curriculum, faculty appointments, career services), university-wide committees, and are often called upon by the administration to assist with special projects. Tax Law Society

Emory's Tax Law Society (TLS) focuses on teaching and educating prospective tax attorneys about the field of Tax Law and the daily routines and procedures that go alongside. TLS welcomes individuals who have an interest in tax and aims to build a community of students with similar goals. President: Lauren Madeira
